How To Fix Canon Printer Errors?

Canon printers users have complained of the following problem: the printer is printing only text but not pictures.  Such errors can be very annoying. Such types of errors are generally very easily resolvable.

we recommend you try the following steps.
Step 1 – Uninstall and Reinstall the Printer Software
The first thing we recommend you do is uninstall and reinstall the printer software. Once you are through, check the printer again. If the issue persists, try the next step.
Step 2 – Install the Latest Printer Driver
You can update drivers manually or automatically using a specialized tool. The first one, although free, can be time consuming. The other problem with it is that it may not work sometimes as manufacturers often don’t provide drivers for all their devices on their website. On the other hand, with help of a driver update tool you can update your printer driver with a few clicks of the mouse. With automatic updates, all your computer Drivers will be kept up-to-date so you don’t need to worry about Driver update issues again.

  2. Select the option that says “My printer is a little older. Help me find it.”
  3. Click Next
  4. Windows 10 will now again search for the connected printer and hopefully install the printer using compatible Drivers in its database.

How to Bring an Offline Printer Online?

Most of the time, you can bring the printer back online with a few clicks in Windows, but if not, there are additional troubleshooting steps you can take.
Step 1Reboot your printer by shutting it off and turning it back on again. Give the unit a minute or two to finish booting.

Step 2Verify that the printer is plugged in to your computer (for local printers) or that it has network connectivity. If the printer is a networked unit, double-check the link light on the back of the printer to make sure it’s flashing green.

Step 3Log on to your computer using an account that has “Manage Printers” rights to the printer. In most cases, a local administrator account is sufficient.

Step 4Click the “Start” button and then click “Devices and Printers.”

Step 5Right-click the printer and select “See What’s Printing” to display the print spooler window.maxresdefault

Step 8Open a Web browser and download the latest driver for your printer from the manufacturer’s website.

Step 9Follow the instructions that come with the driver to install it. If you still cannot bring the printer online, continue with the steps below.

Step 10Click the “Start” button and then click “Control Panel.”

Step 11Type “troubleshooter” (without quotation marks) in the Search box at the upper-right corner of the window. Click the “Troubleshooting” link when it appears in the main window.

Resolve Printer Issues on your Mac

Follow these steps if you can’t get your printer to work with your Mac.

These steps might help you to resolve printing issues such as these:
  • Your printer doesn’t appear in the Printer pop-up menu of Print Dialog.
  • Your printer doesn’t appear in Printers & Scanners preferences.
  • Your Mac displays a message that software for your device isn’t available.

If your Mac doesn’t see your printer or have the software for it

  1. Make sure that your printer is turned on and ready. For help with an error light or other error condition that appears on the printer itself, check the device’s documentation or contact the manufacturer.
  2. If your printer is connected to the USB port of your Mac, disconnect it.
  3. Check for software updates to make sure that your Mac has the latest information about your printer.
Your Mac downloads software for most printers automatically, so it’s usually unnecessary to install software from the printer manufacturer.
  4. If you disconnected your printer from the USB port in step 2, reconnect it now.
  5. From the Finder, choose Apple menu  > System Preferences, then click Printers & Scanners.
  6. Select your printer in the list of devices. You might need to wait a moment for it to appear.

If your printer doesn’t appear in Printers & Scanners preferences, click Add (+) at the bottom of the list, then choose the command to add a printer or scanner. The window that opens offers more ways to find your device:
